Introduction
The purpose of this course is to introduce the learner to the principles of safe manual handling operations in the workplace. Over a million people in the UK suffer from muscular skeletal disorders caused or made worse by their current or past work and 38% of all over-three-day injuries are caused by poor manual handling. By following the advice, guidance and good manual handling practices explained on this course you will be able to avoid injury to yourself and others from manual handling operations.
